I have been chatting away with all my smart friends and cannot wait to launch my podcast – Betty’s Smart Friends – the third week of January!  I cannot wait for you to listen in! As I look back at 2024 there were some things that brought me lots of joy:

Best fiction books I’ve read:
If you like a little sci-fi – Red Rising series by Pierce Brown was captivating.  A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara was brutally beautiful and I also LOVE LOVE LOVED James by Percival Everett.

Best nonfiction book:
 The Life Brief by Bonnie Wan – A playbook for no regrets living.

The Best Meal I Had This Year: (on a trip of a lifetime!)
Shabu Shabu at Hyoto Shijo Karasuma in Kyoto, Japan

Best New Tip That Made Me Feel Better: 
The concept of impermanence – everything is always in flux, and nothing stays the same forever.

Best Netflix Binge:
Nobody Wants This – yay for Season 2 to get the greenlight!
(I also binged and ugly cried with One Day)
